Your Questions, Answered: Inside the Solo Travel Concierge Experience
Planning a solo trip to Europe should feel inspiring, not intimidating. That’s where The Solo Travel Concierge comes in — blending thoughtful planning, insider access, and personalized support to make your travels as effortless as they are unforgettable.
Whether it’s your first time traveling solo or your fifth European getaway, my role as your travel advisor is simple: to create a seamless experience that feels entirely yours. From VIP hotel perks and beautifully crafted itineraries to concierge-level support while you’re abroad, every detail is handled with care, precision, and a little je ne sais quoi.
Below, you’ll find answers to the questions I’m asked most often — designed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how the process works and what you can expect when you travel with The Solo Travel Concierge.
What can I expect from working with The Solo Travel Concierge?
When working with us, you can expect your experience to be incredibly personalized.
Our #1 job is to make sure your trip is perfect for YOU, whatever that may look like!
From our first consultation call to check-ins throughout your journey to a follow-up afterwards, we want you to feel supported during the entire process.
What kinds of perks can you get me as a travel advisor?
Through our global network of travel partners, we are able to secure free VIP perks and amenities at over 5,000 hotels.
Some of these perks may include:
Daily complimentary breakfast
Resort / spa credit
Welcome amenity
Complimentary wifi
Room upgrade (when available)
Early check-in, late check-out (when available)
However, please note that lower priced hotel partners may NOT be able to offer these additional benefits.
Do you charge hotel booking service fees?
Not at all — the rate is the same as booking on your own, and you’ll often save thanks to added perks like complimentary breakfast, hotel credits, and more.
How far in advance should I plan my trip with The Solo Travel Concierge?
We suggest reaching out 6-8 months in advance to secure top experiences and the best prices. Europe is in high demand, especially in summer, and early planning unlocks exclusive opportunities.
More time allows for:
More destination research
Greater availability of accommodations
Greater chance tickets for events and tours are available
And more!
For last-minute trips, we also offer expedited services.
Is there a minimum budget?
No, we tailor your itinerary to match your interests, budget, and preferences. You'll receive accommodation options at various price points, ensuring a trip that’s perfectly suited for you.
Can I change my itinerary after you plan it?
That depends on when and what you’d like to change.
Itinerary packages include a certain number of revisions, after which you’ll be asked to confirm your itinerary before bookings begin.
After confirmation, additional changes to the itinerary may incur additional fees.
Changes to bookings which have already been made depends upon the policy of the service provider (e.g. hotel, tour operator).
Travel insurance is highly recommended for all trips in the event changes need to be made, which is something we can discuss on our consultation call.
Do you provide support during my trip?
Yes — trip support is included exclusively with the purchase of our VIP Solo Itinerary.
Our Concierge Desk is available via WhatsApp throughout your journey to assist with questions, last-minute changes, or unexpected hiccups. Just send us a message, and we’ll handle the rest — so you can travel with total peace of mind.
Do you offer flight booking support?
Typically, we encourage clients to book their own airfare. As you probably know, flights change, delays happen and managing your flight directly can often be the quickest way to resolve any issues. In fact, airlines won’t allow us to speak on your behalf to troubleshoot should issues arise (they will only speak to the ticketed passenger).
However we want to set you up for a smooth travel experience and we can talk about what that looks like! If you do decide to book your airfare with us, we will charge $100 per person to do so.
What is your cancellation / refund policy?
Service fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full prior to the final delivery of your itinerary.
In the event cancellations of accommodations, tours, etc are needed, the cancellation policy of the company / provider through which the service was booked will be followed.
Travel insurance is highly recommended for all trips in the event changes or cancellations of bookings need to be made, which is something we can discuss on our consultation call.
At The Solo Travel Concierge, travel isn’t just about seeing the world — it’s about experiencing it in a way that feels intentional, safe, and deeply personal.
